Fiber optic sensors for thermometry

Abstract

This talk will present emerging applications of fiber optic sensors for thermometry and feedback-controlled delivery of laser- and, more in general, minimally invasive and energy-based therapies. Moreover, innovative photonic approaches for monitoring and predicting the thermal state of biological tissues based on the measurement of their optical “fingerprint” will be shown.
