Career Talk LIN

CAREER TALK Zempeltzi LIN 002

About our guest: Maria-Marina Zempeltzi studied Biology in Greece and Integrative Neuroscience in Magdeburg. As a student assistant she already worked at the LIN, which then turned into a PhD: During this time she worked in multiple interdisciplinary projects with the CortXplorer Group, in the Department of Systems Physiology of Learning & Memory. Her research focus was behavioral and auditory neuroscience. She was also a PhD Rep. Since 2021, she has been working in Strategic Research Management at Fraunhofer.

About the Career Talk: In her Career Talk, she will reflect on her PhD phase and time as a PhD Rep: what were challenges? What helped? What do you wish you had known before? She will also discuss transitions, for example, transitioning as a student assistant to PhD and as a PhD researcher into the new field of strategic research management.
