Conference Series „Resting State“
The conference series „Resting State” was initiated by Magdeburg neuroscientists in 2008 to bring together leading researchers who focus on resting-state-FMRI. The series is held every 2 years in alternating international locations while returning to Magdeburg every 4 years (Magdeburg 2008; Milwaukee 2010; Magdeburg 2012; Boston/Cambridge Mass. 2014; Vienna 2016; Montreal 2018). Apart from offering state-of-the art presentations about the physical and physiological origins of resting state fluctuations, the series offers grounds to exchange new developments in data acquisition as well as physiological and medical applications.
The focus of the conference lies in active discussions about controversial aspects in order to facilitate the growth of this area of research, including but not limited to the creation of application-based routines, optimization of data acquisition and the assessment of the pros and cons of different methods of analysis.
