Prof Dr. Janelle Pakan

Prof. Janelle Pakan earned her doctorate in Canada at the University of Alberta and worked as a postdoc at UBC before moving to Europe to complete a fellowship in Ireland and at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on understanding the functional neural circuits underlying the conversion of sensory information into behavioral performance in both health and disease. She uses functional neuroanatomical techniques and advanced two-photon imaging in behaving mice in combination with virtual environments.
