The Medical Faculty of the Otto von Guericke University appointed Prof. Erol Sandalcioglu as Professor of Neurosurgery on April 1, 2019. Scientifically, Prof. Sandalcioglu focuses on the study of various areas of neurosurgical diseases. His main areas of focus include research on cerebrovascular diseases and in the field of neuro-oncology, as well as the application of innovative technologies. In addition to understanding the underlying molecular biological processes, the development and application of improved visualization, pre- and intraoperatively, is of essential importance.
