Strengthen internationalisation

To enhance the international profile of Magdeburg as a centre for neuroscience research and teaching through targeted funding in this field.

Promotion of equality

Implementation of active measures to promote gender equality at every stage of academic work, with a view to fostering diversity and equality.

CBBS Grants

The CBBS strengthens Magdeburg’s position as a centre for neuroscience through a wide range of funding initiatives. The focus is on supporting early-career researchers, to whom the CBBS offers attractive career development and training pathways. At the same time, it promotes interdisciplinary neuroscientific research and supports large collaborative projects such as Collaborative Research Centres.

Furthermore, the CBBS is committed to structural and regional development by providing modern research infrastructures and networked working platforms. The training and academic development of students, PhD candidates and postdocs also play a central role.

To intensify scientific exchange, the CBBS supports conferences, workshops and international networking. Through interdisciplinary transfer and applied research, it also promotes collaboration between basic research, clinical research and technological disciplines.

In this way, the CBBS creates optimal conditions for excellent research, collaboration and scientific careers in the neurosciences. Click on the buttons below to find out more about our funding.
