Paper of the Year

Best CBBS Paper of the Year

The CBBS provides funding for particularly innovative and forward-looking research projects in the field of neuroscience and awards up to two ‘Best CBBS Paper of the Year’ prizes annually.

The publication output of CBBS members has increased by 35 per cent in recent years – evidence of the rise in scientific productivity over the past few years. The CBBS aims to further stimulate publication output through its “Paper of the Year” initiative. Significant international publications addressing current issues with translational aspects are recognised with an annual prize of 500 euros each.

As a rule, one paper from the field of human research and one from the field of animal research are selected. The final selection of the submitted publications is made through an anonymous vote by CBBS members. The winning publications are presented in short talks and awarded prizes at the CBBS General Assembly.

Have you written an exciting paper and would like to take part in the CBBS Paper of the Year competition? We’d love to have you. The CBBS publishes competition calls at regular intervals, for which you can apply.
