Prof. Tino Zähle heads the Neuropsychology Department at the Clinic for Neurology of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. The current research focus of the Neuropsychology section is situated at the interface between clinical-neuropsychological, application-oriented research and fundamental scientific investigations of human behavior. Specifically, the working group focuses on the systematic analysis of direct neurofunctional modulation of human brain reactivity using non-invasive brain stimulation methods (transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial alternating current stimulation, transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation), as well as on the neuropsychological investigation of cognitive effects of deep brain stimulation for the treatment of neurological-neurodegenerative diseases.
