Prof. Stefan Remy is the scientific director of the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology, heads the Department of Cellular Neuroscience there, and is a professor of molecular and cellular neuroscience at the Faculty of Medicine of Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg. Before taking on his new responsibilities at the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology Magdeburg in 2020, he spent 10 years researching as the head of the Neuronal Networks working group at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in Bonn. Stefan Remy is the spokesperson for the Center for Behavioral Brain Sciences and represents the Magdeburg location (in the Jena-Magdeburg-Halle network) at the newly founded German Center for Mental Health.
