Prof. Oliver Speck is the head of the Department of Biomedical Magnetic Resonance at the Institute of Physics and the Ultra-High-Field Magnetic Resonance Core Facility, as well as dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. He conducts research in the field of ultra-high-field MRI and its neuroscientific applications. A particular focus is on methods for highly detailed in vivo imaging of the human brain. This is achieved through rapid imaging techniques, methods for prospective correction of head movements, and techniques for geometrically accurate mapping of brain structures.
