Prof. Jens Kremkow leads the research group "Neuronal Computation" at the Institute of Biology of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. Together with his team, he focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which the different cell types and neural circuits in the brain are organized and dynamically interact with each other to process sensory information and mediate behavior. To this end, he uses an integrative approach that combines the analysis of brain circuits in living animals with advanced data analysis and computational modeling.
