Prof. Georg Rose heads the STIMULATE research campus as well as the Chair of Medical Telematics and Medical Technology at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. Mr. Rose conducts research and development together in interdisciplinary teams from clinics, industry, and science, developing solutions and technologies for image-guided minimally invasive medicine. The research objectives are innovative, patient-friendly, high-quality, and specifically required diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for diseases in oncology, neurology, and cardiology. For this purpose, clinicians define the needs, and Rose and his interdisciplinary team research and develop tailored solutions that are tested and integrated into patient care. His vision is to establish a research and innovation center for image-based medicine at the Magdeburg Science Harbor, which will make significant contributions to healthcare—especially for the aging society.
