Dr. Elke Edelmann at the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel has her research focus in physiology. Her main interest is the study of the cellular foundations of learning and memory processes. She researches how synapses of different networks work together to retain memory content. Her work contributes to a better understanding of the physiological and pathophysiological processes of learning and memory formation and to the development of therapeutic options.
