Dr. David Berron is active in Alzheimer research and is interested in the functional architecture of cognitive functions, particularly memory functions and the medial temporal lobe. It is important to first understand these functional networks in detail in order to then investigate the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, he and his team research which brain regions and networks play an important role in memory and other cognitive functions. In addition, he develops digital cognitive testing methods for smartphones and tablets, which are used both in clinical studies and in healthcare, including their combination with additional biomarkers.
