Admission as a PhD student at the Faculty of Natural Sciences
Now all you need to do is clear a few administrative hurdles at Otto von Guericke University. Every PhD student must apply for admission. Our university’s Faculty of Natural Sciences provides a help page that describes the process step by step and lists contact details for further assistance.
The documents differ slightly between the English and German websites. If you obtained your academic degree in Germany, please use the German page; otherwise, use the English page.
Please note that the university requires notarised copies of your certificates!
Enrolment at Otto von Guericke University (optional)
As part of the admission procedure at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, any doctoral candidate at Otto von Guericke University can apply for enrolment. Once enrolled, you will enjoy all the benefits afforded to a regular student at Otto von Guericke University.
Please note that you must re-enrol each semester and apply for de-registration at the end of your doctoral studies. You can find the relevant documents here.
